Bruce and Michelle's Self-Portrait Page
Soon after we met, Michelle and I started a tradition of taking a photo of
ourselves. In each of these pictures, you can tell that I have my arm stretched
out and am concentrating on aiming the camera just right and Michelle is
concentrating on looking beautiful.
Unfortunately, we have gotten away from this tradition in the last several
years, but maybe this page will inspire us to start again (especially before I
completely lose any handsomeness I might still have left.)
Something weird about these photos we never noticed before we got them all
together was that we are always on the same side of each other. I don't know if
this is because one or both of us wants to present our "good side" to
the camera, or if my left arm is just longer than my right.

As usual, click on the picture to see a larger version.
1986 - Holy Smokes! Michelle looked like a Super-Model! How
could I not want to marry her? This was taken very soon after we met.

1986 - This one was taken soon before we got married. |
1987 - This was taken in our first apartment after we were
married. I was still in college in Irving and Michelle worked at Channel
8 downtown.
|
1988 - Here we are right after we moved into our house. How on
earth did we put up with that bamboo wallpaper even for a little while? |
1989 - A random shot in our house. |
1990 - One of the more off-center of our self-portraits. You'd
think I'd be getting better at this by now.
|
1993 - The worst sunburn of my life! This was taken on our
Pensacola trip that we took with Andrew Tauhert and Wayne Pilip.
This was Michelle's first time away from our son Andrew.
What happened to her fabulous hair? My hairdresser told me that
chopping off their hair was common among brand-new mothers. |
1993 - Michelle flew up to join me for the weekend when I was
on a business trip to Reston Virginia. We took a little trip to D.C. and
this was taken by the reflecting pool at the Washington Monument.

Hmmn... These might make a cool Morphing video...
