What you can do:
- Sort columns by clicking the column header.
- Search for text in any column, for either an exact match or for a
substring. Here are a few notes about "substring" vs.
"exact" searches:
- Searching "Title" for "alien" with the
"substring" option will give you all 4 Alien movies, but
if you use the "exact" option, it won't return anything.
Searching on "alien 3" would return that exact movie.
- If you do a "substring" search of the
"Rating" column for "g", you will get
"G", "PG", and "PG-13". Use
"exact" to get only rated G movies.
- Search the "Year" column with a substring of
"198" to see all movies made in the 80s.
- Add additional columns by clicking the appropriate check boxes, then
clicking "Submit". Not everybody wants to see the UPC number
for the DVDs, but maybe you do. The more columns you add, the wider
the table will become. Also, as you add columns, they become
searchable just like the default columns.
- Click the "Genre" checkbox, then submit. Now
search the "Genre" column for "family" to see what you
can watch with the kids.
- Click the "IMDb Links" button to generate a link
to the Internet Movie Database for each title.
- Do a blank substring search on any column to return to the
full list.
